At Weston-super-Mare AFC, we are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved with the club, especially children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
We take safeguarding seriously and expect all staff, coaches, volunteers, parents, and supporters to do the same.

If you have any concerns about the welfare of a child or vulnerable person at the club, please speak to one of our Safeguarding Officers:

All concerns will be handled confidentially and taken seriously.
What to Do If You Have a Concern
If you’re worried about someone’s safety, don’t ignore it. You can:
Speak to a Safeguarding Officer – Andrew or Matt will be able to offer advice and take action if needed.
Talk to a Coach or Club Official – If you’re unsure what to do, they can help you report concerns in the right way.
Contact The FA or Authorities – If necessary, concerns can be raised with The FA, social services, or the police.
Keeping Everyone Safe
To create a safe environment, we:
Carry out DBS checks on relevant staff and volunteers.
Follow The FA’s safeguarding guidelines.
Encourage an open and supportive culture where concerns can be raised without fear.
Everyone at Weston-super-Mare AFC has a role to play in keeping people safe. If something doesn’t seem right, speak up.
