James started his career at Cardiff City and had a loan stint at Hereford before joining Weston twice on loan in October 2019 and September 2020. After another loan in the Republic of Ireland with Waterford, James left Cardiff and signed for Penybont before earning a move into the Football League with Newport County.
When James left The Exiles in the summer of 2024, he was snapped up by Weston manager Scott Bartlett for a third time. James has also represented Wales at U19 and U21 level.
