Josh, a local midfielder who grew up within the town, was with Southampton’s Academy from the age of eight to 16 before taking on a two-year scholarship with AFC Bournemouth.

The 18-year-old spent a month on loan with Horndean towards the end of the 2024/2025 season, gaining his first taste of men’s football.

After impressing on the Portugal camp and within the pre-season matches as ‘Trialist B’, he now links up with Scott Bartlett’s side for the 2025/2026 campaign.

Manager Scott Bartlett said:

“He has come in, showed maturity, worked hard and is a welcome addition to the squad”.
