Men's First Team
National League South Sat 23 August The Optima Stadium
Weston-super-Mare
Maidenhead United
15:00

The Seagulls come into this game on the back of a good week following last week’s draw with much-fancied Chelmsford City and Tuesday 2-1 victory at Chippenham Town, the first in the league this season.

At Hardenhuish Park on Tuesday, Scott Bartlett’s men were victorious after a goal in each half from former Bluebird Will Dawes and Louis Britton, who capped a fine performance with his first league goal for the club.

It was a great all-round performance in Wiltshire and Weston will be looking for more of the same against Maidenhead.

The Berkshire side were relegated from the National League at the end of last season after a long stay in Step 1. So far, Alan Devonshire’s troops have picked up two draws and one defeat from their first three games. After losing at home to Chesham on the opening day, The Magpies have drawn 0-0 at Enfield Town and 2-2 at home to Hemel on Tuesday night.

Liam Dulson and Josh Umerah put Maidenhead into the lead twice but they had to settle for a point.

There have been quite a few changes in playing personnel at York Road this summer, including the transfer of former Wesron striker Shawn McCoulsky to League Two side, Harrogate Town.

After the last two positive performances, we hope for another healthy home crowd at the Optima this Saturday ahead of the busy Bank Holiday weekend.

Parking Information

We have a fair-sized car park at the stadium, with a limited amount of matchday parking available for Blue Badge holders. If a Blue Badge space is required, we recommend arriving as early as possible to secure a spot.

Season ticket holders can park for free in the Season Ticket Holders’ Car Park behind the main stand by showing their season ticket or car parking pass at the main car park entrance.

Once the stadium car park is full on matchday, all supporters are asked to park responsibly in the two nearby industrial estates, which are just a 5–10-minute walk from the Optima Stadium. Please do not park in the housing estate opposite the club, as this can cause issues for local residents.

Please note that we are only able to accommodate the official away team coach within the Optima Stadium.
