The 19-year-old has been with the Grecians since the under-14s after joining from Yeovil Town following the closure of their setup, and has progressed through the ranks to become a first-year pro.
While capable of playing as a No.10, he is also able to feature as a right winger.
Since signing his first professional contract at St James’ Park in the summer, he has made four first-team appearances for Gary Caldwell’s side.
George also featured in our friendly against Exeter in the summer, playing the first half for the visitors.
On signing George, Manager Scott Rogers said:
I’m delighted to get George in on loan.
“We’ve had a few of the Exeter City cup games watched this season and he’s done well, standing out for them as he did in the pre-season friendlies against ourselves and Torquay United.
“I think the supporters will enjoy watching him, he has no fear when it comes to facing an opponent up and taking them on.
“Hopefully he will enjoy his time with us”.
George is eligible to face Aldershot Town tomorrow afternoon in the Emirates FA Cup First Round at The Optima Stadium.
The teenager will wear No.23 for the club during his time at The Optima.
We would like to welcome George to the club, and wish him all the best when pulling on a Seagulls shirt.
