The 21-year-old made six appearances on loan for the Seagulls during the 2023/2024 season, putting in some accomplished performances during the final stages of our first season back in the Vanarama National League South.

The left-footed defender has also previously featured for the likes of Hereford, Cinderford, and Bath City within senior football.

Possessing a calmness on the ball when looking to play out from the back and an ability to defend in one-on-one situations and in the air, Callum started out as a left-back with Cinderford before transitioning into a centre-back with the Robins at Ashton Gate.

On securing Callum’s signature, Manager Scott Bartlett said:

“I’m delighted to bring Callum back as a permanent signing for us.

He is a brilliant addition and is an excellent player with a lot of potential.

We had to work hard because there was a lot of competition for him, but he was drawn back to the club after a successful loan spell in which he was treated very well by our supporters.”

After putting pen to paper, Callum said:

“I’m delighted to be here. I’ve been speaking to the gaffer for quite a while, keeping in touch over the season and I’m glad to get it over the line.

Being here previously was one reason for coming here. I know the manager well, I know Scotty (Rogers) well, I know most of the players from my time before. A few players that Scott’s brought in I know from the Academy system at Bristol City or elsewhere I’ve been.

There’s a good gel in the team and seeing how well they’ve done over the last two years, just missing playoffs last year and the FA Cup run, it’s something I definitely wanted to be a part of.

Everyone at Weston-super-Mare AFC would like to welcome Callum back to the club and wish him all the best when pulling on the Seagulls shirt.
