The 20-year-old joined The Grecians in January 2024 from Irish side Cobh Ramblers, where he had gradually began to make his way into their first-team before transitioning to England.

Also comfortable playing at centre-back, the youngster has enjoyed loan spells in the Southern League with Mousehole, Poole Town, Taunton Town and Tiverton Town over the past 18 months.

At the beginning of the 2025-2026 campaign, he has made a few first-team appearances with Exeter under Gary Caldwell in the League Cup and League One.

Cummins now joins the squad ahead of today’s Emirates FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round tie with Needham Market, and is eligible to make his debut this afternoon.

On signing Charlie, Manager Scott Rogers said:

I’ve watched Charlie closely since he signed for Exeter two years ago.

“One of his first games was against Weston in a pre-season friendly, where he impressed me in his second-half cameo.

“He’s a good size, very athletic and aggressive with good feet.

“He served his time in the Southern Premier and also had a really good pre-season with Exeter.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how he does in the National League South”.

Charlie will wear the number 19 during his time with the Seagulls.

Everyone at Weston would like to welcome Charlie to the club, and wish him all the best during his time with the Seagulls.
