Dan previously played for the club during our first season in the Southern League Premier South on loan from Cardiff City, assisting four goals in 26 games from defence.

The 25-year-old has since gone on to represent Bath City, Torquay United and Welling United while also featuring twice as a trialist for the Seagulls last pre-season.

The attack-minded left-back possesses a dangerous delivery from the flanks and is strong when faced with one-on-one situations. He can also feature further up the pitch as a left midfielder.

He assisted twice against the Seagulls for Welling in their 4 – 1 win at The Optima Stadium back in January.

On signing Dan, Manager Scott Bartlett said:

We are very specific and clear in what we are looking for, Dan was outstanding for us previously and has had a brilliant season.

He has been a long-term target for us and we are delighted he has committed to the area and club.

When asked about returning to the Optima, Dan said:

I’m excited to be back – it’s been a long time coming!

I’ve been in contact with Scott pretty much since the day my loan ended back in 2020, so I’m thrilled to be playing for him again.

It’s great to see that most of the squad from last season have stayed. I got to know a lot of them during last year’s pre-season, and they’ve been a really strong side over the last two years.

They were extremely unlucky to miss out on the playoffs last campaign, and I’m looking forward to helping push for that this season with a group I know that are more than capable.

Everyone at Weston-super-Mare AFC would like to welcome Dan back to the club and wish him all the best when pulling on the Seagulls shirt.
