Since originally signing on loan in September 2021 before making his stay permanent the following May, Dodd has played 204 games for the Seagulls and scored 13 goals, assisting 31 goals as well.

On signing his contract extension at the Optima, Dodd said:

“I’m delighted to sign another contract and continue to be part of a club that’s been amazing for me. It is a very exciting time to be a Weston-super-Mare AFC player.

 

“I have always been in close contact with the Gaffer regarding my situation and he has outlined the desire to keep pushing this club forward.

 

“I love being a part of the club and will continue to give 100% to the shirt. I am looking forward to what the future holds and being back in the middle of the park.”

Manager Scott Rogers added:

“A big thank you to the chairman for making this happen and securing Doddsy’s services with this new contract and keeping one of the best midfielders in the league at The Optima Stadium”.
