Max has previously spent the last four seasons on loan from Cheltenham, making 135 appearances for Scott Bartlett’s men in between the sticks.
The 25-year-old has previously featured for the likes of Oxford City and Bath City on loan in the Vanarama National League North/South.,
Assured between the sticks when facing opposition forwards as well as being capable with his feet, Max is sure to be a welcome addition to the Seagulls side.
On adding Max to the ranks, Manager Scott Bartlett said:
Max is a brilliant goalkeeper and has been a virtual ever-present for us.
It was important to me to have Max fully on board with us and as a permanent goalkeeper for the foreseeable future, rather than a loan and I’m pleased we have got a key position done early.
On signing, Max said:
It feels strange because I know the club really well, I’ve been here for the last four years on loan but to sign on a permanent, it feels a little bit different.
I’m over the moon to be here and hopefully we can kick on from the last four seasons.
I know the gaffer really well, I know how the club works and it felt like the perfect fit.
