Strikes from Luke Coulson, Emlyn Lewis & Morgan Lewis saw the Seagulls win 3 – 1 away at Slough Town in a strong disciplined performance.
Two changes were made from the side that started Saturday, with Ollie Chamberlain and Ollie Bray coming in for Jacob Jagger Cane & Jordan Bastin who both dropped out of the squad.
It was a fast start to the game with Johnny Goddard rolling a shot into Max Harris’ hands from 20 yards inside the opening minute, before James Dodd dragged a free-kick wide of the near post moments later. Slavi Spasov then got an opportunity to put the hosts ahead, but his placed shot from the edge of the area was comfortably held by Harris.
The Seagulls were to take the lead when a long ball forwarded ended up with the feet of Coulson, who saw a toe-poke towards goal kept out by Charlie Horlock. Coulson retrieved the ball inside the area only to be brought down by Scott Davies and after the referee pointed to the spot, Coulson dusted himself down to step up and send Horlock the wrong way for his 12th league goal of the campaign.

Slough looked to hit back through Lewis Miccio, only for the defender to fire over from 25 yards as the half drew to a close.
Half-Time: Slough Town 0 – 1 Weston-super-Mare AFC
At the start of the second half, Slough almost got level when Jeanmal Prosper met David Ogbonna’s cross at the front post, but headed narrowly wide of the target.
The Rebels were to level when Ogbonna got space down the right and dug a cross out from the byline, Spasov arriving on cue at the back post to head past Harris from a few yards out.
Weston then came all guns blazing at their hosts, Sam Pearson’s audacious overhead kick from a Coulson cross clearing the bar and Bray then seeing an attempt from 20 yards on the half-volley be tipped behind by Horlock. The Slough keeper was then called into action to deny Pearson from close range, tipping a shot wide after the forward had been fed in behind by Pedro Borges.
From the resulting corner, the Seagulls were to get their noses in front again when Coulson’s floated delivery to the far post saw skipper Lewis attack, rising above everybody to send a bullet header into the back of the net.

Dan Roth saw an attempt from 25 yards deflect wide of the target off of a Weston foot following a low cross being cleared in his direction, while Coulson curled wide down the other end when being afforded space in the opposition half.
Substitute M.Lewis was to seal the win when he was found racing down the left by Kadji, and the youngster stayed composed to slot the ball in past Horlock for his first goal in a Weston shirt.

There was still time for Weston to almost grab a fourth, Coulson seeing his curling free-kick from 25 yards beaten clear by Horlock before Kadji fired the rebound over with the game’s final kick.
