He will depart the club with immediate effect.

Scott originally joined the club in October 2016, taking charge of 35 games and helping us retain our National League South status before taking up a full-time role as the Academy Manager at Forest Green Rovers.

He returned in the summer of 2019 and ushered in a period of success for the Seagulls. His side won the Somerset Premier Cup in 2019 & 2025, while also winning the Southern League Premier South title in 2023 and going close to reaching the National League South playoffs in 2025.

Across his two spells with the Seagulls, Scott took charge of 313 games, winning 161 games and drawing 56. His side scored 567 goals.

Oli Bliss, Weston-super-Mare AFC Chairman, said:

“I would like to wish Scott all the best in his future managerial career into the National League, which he fully deserves.

“It has been a pleasure working with Scott over many years and he has helped the club make massive strides forward. Weston-super-Mare AFC is in a very strong position and we will now turn our attention to ensuring we make the right appointments to continue how we have started the season.

“We are already in safe hands with the management team that is at the Club”.

Scott Rogers will be stepping in as interim manager, starting with this Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup trip to Poole Town in the Third Qualifying Round.

The process to appoint the next Weston-super-Mare AFC men’s first team manager is already underway. More information about the vacancy will follow.

Scott leaves with the best wishes of everyone at Weston-super-Mare AFC. We thank him for all his efforts during his time as our men’s first team manager.
