Scott Bartlett’s men head into the clash after a positive week, with a 0 – 0 draw against Chelmsford City before backing the point up with wins against Chippenham Town away from home and then Maidenhead United at The Optima Stadium.
Luke Skinner’s dramatic late winner at the weekend helped lift the Seagulls to 10th after four games played, and Weston will be looking for more of the same this afternoon.
Farnborough have had a mixed start to the campaign, with one win, one draw and two losses so far inside their opening four matches.
The Yellows have gained all four of their points on home turf this campaign, drawing with Eastbourne Borough on the opening day before grinding out a 1 – 0 win over Worthing last Wednesday following a serious injury to influential midfielder Aaron Kuhl.
Spencer Day’s men lost 3 – 1 to early table-toppers Hornchurch just 48 hours prior to taking the Seagulls on.
Last time these two sides faced was back in March of this year at the same venue as today’s match, where two early goals from Jonny Stuttle and Ricky Holmes was enough to beat Weston 2 -1. Luke Coulson’s penalty later in the first half pulled a goal back, however the hosts could see out the win.
