FA Trophy Second Round Sat 15 November The Thornbury Surfacing Stadium
Chippenham Town
Weston-super-Mare
15:00

Weston’s FA Trophy campaign was put to a premature end last season following a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Weymouth.

Scott Rogers’ side head into Saturdays match with a full week’s preparation, after Tuesday nights Francis Hiller Cup fixture away at Paulton Rovers was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Weston have already beaten the Bluebirds at Hardenhuish Park once this season, with goals from Will Dawes and Louis Britton securing three points in a 2-1 win back in August. This match kickstarted a run of 10 games unbeaten for the Seagulls.

However, it was Chippenham who dominated the head to head last season, with the Bluebirds winning home and away against Weston in the league.

Chippenham head into Saturdays affair in dreadful form. Without a win in nine matches, Gary Horgan’s side find themselves rock bottom of The Enterprise National League South, eight points from safety.

A 97th minute equaliser from Caine Bradbury earned Chippenham a much needed point on the road against Eastbourne on Tuesday night.
