Men's First Team
National League South Sat 22 November The Optima Stadium
Weston-super-Mare
Dover Athletic
15:00

It’s the second game of three home matches in seven days, the first of which was Tuesday’s closely-fought 1-0 victory over Ebbsfleet United. Scott Wilson scored the only goal in the first-half at the Optima Stadium, his second goal against The Fleet this season, having also netted for Bath City against them earlier on in the campaign.

It was also Wilson’s third goal in his last three starts in a Weston shirt for the on-loan forward, having scored in games against Maidenhead United and Havant & Waterlooville back in 2016.

It is Kent opposition for The Seagulls again this Saturday as they take on a Dover Athletic team enjoying a decent start back in Step 2 football.

After suffering relegation in 2023/24, Jake Leberl’s team went on to win the Isthmian Premier Division play-offs in 2024/25.. Dover are currently 13th in National League South, and in their last league fixture they picked up a handsome 4-1 victory over Enfield Town at the Crabble.

Just prior to Dover’s relegation, Weston completed a league double over the Kent side after a pair of 1-0 wins. Dayle Grubb scored the only goal at the Crabble nearly two years ago to the day, before James Dodd grabbed the only goal in the return fixture in March.

1-0 has been the score for Weston in their last two, and The Seagulls will be looking for the same (or more) in this tough test with Dover this Saturday.

Parking Information

We have a fair-sized car park at the stadium, with a limited amount of matchday parking available for Blue Badge holders. If a Blue Badge space is required, we recommend arriving as early as possible to secure a spot.

Season ticket holders can park for free in the Season Ticket Holders’ Car Park behind the main stand by showing their season ticket or car parking pass at the main car park entrance.

Once the stadium car park is full on matchday, all supporters are asked to park responsibly in the two nearby industrial estates, which are just a 5–10-minute walk from the Optima Stadium. Please do not park in the housing estate opposite the club, as this can cause issues for local residents.

Please note that we are only able to accommodate the official away team coach within the Optima Stadium.
