It’s a quick turnaround yet again for Scott Rogers’ side as the game comes just three days after Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Dover Athletic, Weston’s first home defeat of the season.
On-loan Bath City forward Scott Wilson scored The Seagulls’ goal, but he is ineligible to face his parent club this Tuesday.
The Romans were victorious in their game on Saturday as they won 2-1 at Hampton & Richmond, as goals from Kieran Parselle and former Seagull Jordan Tillson earned all three points for Darren Way’s side.
Out of Bath’s five league wins this season, three of those victories have come on the road and they will undoubtedly be a tough nut to crack, and they have also kept three clean sheets in a row in league games at the Optima Stadium.
There are many connections between the two sides as manager Rogers was a fabulous midfielder for The Romans in the noughties, and Technical Director Adie Britton will go down as one of Bath’s best-ever managers after managing City in the National League on a shoestring budget.
Max Harris, Callum Wood and Dan Martin have had loan spells at Twerton Park, while Jason Pope spent the 2020/21 season at City before returning to The Seagulls.
Further down the corridor in the away dressing room, and lining up against their old side, will be the aforementioned Tillson, Danny Greenslade and Brad Ash. Ash’s sparkling form in his first spell with The Seagulls saw him join Barnsley, and he has since gone on to have a good career in the game, scoring goals regularly wherever he has gone.
With no home game for another fortnight, get yourselves down to the Optima for this eagerly-anticipated local Somerset derby, and let’s hope for another exciting Tuesday night under the lights.

Parking Information
We have a fair-sized car park at the stadium, with a limited amount of matchday parking available for Blue Badge holders. If a Blue Badge space is required, we recommend arriving as early as possible to secure a spot.
Season ticket holders can park for free in the Season Ticket Holders’ Car Park behind the main stand by showing their season ticket or car parking pass at the main car park entrance.
Once the stadium car park is full on matchday, all supporters are asked to park responsibly in the two nearby industrial estates, which are just a 5–10-minute walk from the Optima Stadium. Please do not park in the housing estate opposite the club, as this can cause issues for local residents.
Please note that we are only able to accommodate the official away team coach within the Optima Stadium.
